July 31, 2007I walked home feeling so so down. And again, I heard the same old crushing sound. I'm just sad that's all.

Ate Sally and her family took me to this Japanese Festival called Omatsuri. It’s like the Sinulog here in the Philippines. Anyway, the first day (Saturday I went there just to take pictures. The next day, I got jealous. I wanna wear those same outfits.
So there, Ate Sally dressed me up. And yeheey. I’m an official Geisha now - brown geisha… hehehe.
Owww… Japanese Boys…

July 29, 2007Grabe ang galing. I went to ate sally's house at Ibaraki-Ken (so so far away) all by myself! It was my first time to travel far alone. I was a little excited because it's like an adventure. I was clueless where to change stations, etc. Ate Sally's husband just provided me the station and the line. I thought, even though I get lost, Japan Railways are just inter-connected anyway. And a phone call away would really do the trick actually.
Hahaha it took me 2 hours… I stopped at Tokyo Station coz I thought that I could find the train (line) I was looking for there since it's like a central station. But I couldn't find it.
Good thing Japanese Information people speaks good english. I was like asking them in Nihongo (feeling marunong ako), then they answered me in English! Grabe marunong din pala sila mag english, pinag-nosebleed pa akech!
I felt so good… I didn't call ate sally for directions. I got there in their station successfully! I thought I should make a call so they could fetch me from there to their house. But well, I guess I got a little confused again with the way their pay phones work. So I thought, hmmm, I think I can walk to their house all alone again (another adventure). Good thing I could still remember the way (from last year's visit).
Ayan, nakarating ako! Pero… the gates are locked… waaah… How can I enter? And knock…? I waited outside for 30 minutes I think. Hehehehe I was thinking that it's very easy to do the "ober da bakod" thing there since the fence is like very low… But ok, I gave up waiting and thought I can call ate sally from a nearby pay phone. When I was going out, somebody called me. Yeheey it was ate sally and nao-ya (her cutie youngest son).
Hahaha. Ang saya ng adventure ko.

July 26, 2007
Our FJ manila colleague, who was also deployed in Japan, and my only lady friend since we live in the same dorm, invited me, jess and eric for dinner.
On our way home, in the train, I mentioned that I graduated from UPLB. Surprisingly, she said that she also came from UPLB. She asked what my org was, I said COSS. And then she told me that she's COSS too! OMG! I look so stupid jumping around excitedly and saying “OMG OMG sis sis sis!”
Such a fabulous small world!
i’M so sicK
I feel so sick. Colds getting worst. Climate changes from cold to hot. OMG.
Hey Mich, I'm really sick. *uhu*uhu*uhu*

ahhh… rice… There again, my Japanese officemates (immediate boss and teamlead) and even jess were surprised with my eating talents (Is it a talent?)
I ordered that thing up there. Boss asked jess if he want to upgrade his rice to bigger one. Jess says yes, then boss turned to me, with no hesitations, I said yes.
Then when I was almost through. Boss was already surprised that time coz I’m almost finished with that big rice there. Teamlead asked me if I want more since she cannot finish hers, I showed a little shyness at first but hehehe, I still gave in. I told her to just put a few on. Then I finished it again. Then when she asked again if I want more (coz she still can’t finish hers), I said yes again. Heheheh. Immediate boss was already laughing that. It’s amazing sometimes to see their reactions.
Immediate boss asked me that popular question, I eat a lot, but how come I don’t get fat? I couldn’t tell him that I’m “kiti kiti” that’s why I always burn everything I eat right away.
i Am sO sO LuckY… (lucky lucky lucky!)
Our super duper mega over boss (SDMO - boss of the boss of the boss of my boss – basta yung pinaka mataas) treated us to dinner. Jess and I were really touched when he got up immediately as soon as we told them we’re leaving. And then he walked with us (we thought he’s gonna walk with us to the station, but he asked us to have dinner with him). When we said yes, he told me to pick the type of resto. I said I want to experience Japanese food first so he called someone up and made immediate reservations. He took us to a nice Japanese restaurant at Tokyo.
He was so cool. He asked us if we like to drink, because he would love to drink. Jess said ok (hahaha he got a little drunk on our way home). I said I’ll just drink cola or water. But SDMO boss said, I should drink this semi alcoholic drink that Japanese girls love. So there I have no choice I said yes.
This boss is really cool. He speaks very good English coz he lived in the states for quite some years. He was a former basketball player and is very sporty. There’s a certain “American” aura in him, but he’s very down to earth. We asked why he became an IT manager, he said it’s a long story. We had a nice long talk about his family (he's still single since he wants to live all by himself only), his hobbies, etc. He’s a golf lover now, and he even asked us to play golf with him. Hahahaha this is new.
It’s really nice. Jess said we were so lucky to work with such kind bosses. Our boss (the immediate one) was kind as well. They were actually planning to have a welcome party for us next week. It’s really nice to have such a great bosses and teammates.
uNang aRaw ng pagPapAnggap
OMG. It was so haggard. I attended a training and cannot fully understand what the speakers are saying (they’re using Nihongo). I felt so OP… I felt like an alien there OMG!
Hehehe life is sometimes ironic. You couldn't understand a thing when you're so eager to listen and learn. But when you understand everything that you hear, you get bored most of the time.
Buti na lang… the manuals are in English, and my new found friend jess (my partner in the project), explains to me some points. I felt a little guilty coz I felt awkward with him at first. Turns out he’s really nice. He was really good in Nihongo. And with his help, hopefully I'll pass the Nihongo exam this December.
